Since Lazarus 1.0.4 does not come with support for MySQL 5.5 and I'm not willing to wait, I want to use the Zeos libraries. I downloaded the zip file and was looking for install instructions, and I found a PDF that was last updated in 2008, and Lazarus specific instructions that mention a menu (Components) I can't find.

What are the install instructions for this? I did a search of the forums and nothing stands out.

I managed to make it work, but the README.TXT file needed changes so I made them. See attachment.

we do supporte LCL+FPC2.4>2.7 and MySQL5.5 since very long times.

Edit: oh you was faster than me.. I'll have a look now

Readme changed in testing7.1 branch (rev. 2101). Will be backported to 7.0-patches in a few weeks.
