required but not supplied

Hello, I'm trying to migrate from the lib version 6.5.1 to version 6.6.6.
I have a problem with the property required: I have to open the query and put this property to false otherwise I Delphi raises an exception of type "field x is required but not supplied". There is a solution to avoid this procedure.
I use delphi 7.
