Help needed connecting to database

Post by thaimann »

Lets try this again:

I have tried installing ZeosDBO using both Lazarus 09.28 & 09.29 I uncompressed the Zeos 6.6.6 into a directory on my home account. Then from root I started Lazarus.

From Lazarus I went to the main menu Package->Open Package File.
From there I selected /home/user/ZeosDir/Packages/Lazarus/zcomponent.lpk

Then from the ZComponent Window, I clicked on compile.
After the compile completed successfully, I clicked on Install.

Is this the correct way to install it?

Again I am running FC12:

uname -r
2.6.31.12-174.2.22.fc12.i686.PAE

I have mysql installed:

yum list installed | grep mysql
mysql.i686 5.1.47-1.fc12 @updates
mysql-devel.i686 5.1.47-1.fc12 @updates
mysql-embedded.i686 5.1.42-7.fc12 @updates
mysql-libs.i686 5.1.47-1.fc12 @updates
mysql-server.i686 5.1.47-1.fc12 @updates
php-mysql.i686 5.3.2-1.fc12 @updates
qt-mysql.i686 1:4.6.2-20.fc12 @updates

And I have double checked that I have a path to /usr/lib/mysql

What could be wrong???

If no one can help me on this board, is there a way to open a ticket with Zeos?

I guess the Zeos Source files also have to be in the path. Sorry for the trouble.

Seems like it is the correct way indeed.
What kind of trouble are you experiencing?
