I just discovered ZeosLib after evaluating many other solutions. I have some quick suggestions:
1. In the DOWNLOADS forum, please provide links to:
a. ZEOSLIB_TESTING_REV294.zip
b. ZEOSDBO-6.6.1_beta.zip
c. zeosdbo-6.1.5-stable.zip
Web visitors take < 3 seconds to decide whether they should hit the browser's BACK button. You don't want them to leave thinking 6.6.0 is the latest version (and nothing new to download since 2006.)
2. Same with ANNOUNCEMENTS forum
3. Without spamming, appropriately announce or find good reasons to mention ZeosLib on news groups like borland.public.delphi.thirdpartytools...
4. Announce ZEOSLIB_TESTING_REV294.zip or a more updated version on the home page and ask for people to help test it.
5. If current beta version is more stable than 6.1.5-stable, then don't call it beta. Calling it beta prevents many people from even downloading it. If people don't download it, bugs won't be found...
All of the above (except #5) can probably be done within 30 minutes total. And the ZeosLib project can benefit a lot.
ps
I use Turbo C++ 2006 and I'm looking forward to trying ZeosLib 6.6.x with SQLite3, PostgreSQL 8.2, and possibly Firebird.
