Good morning,
Something strange Zeos with version 7.0.0-dev with Oracle. When my application initializes Delphi + Oracle and Zeos7. The error appears Zeos 7.0.0-dev ERRCODE: -2, error: OCI_INVALID_HANDLE.
Zeos 6.6.4-stable with this error does not appear.
What could be?

Maik Hello!
As contact.
I could not identify anything unusual in my
code. Most believe that there must be something strange in Zeos
7.0.0-dev for Oracle. Today downloaded a version more
that the new svn: / / zeos.firmos.at / zeos / trunk, and
problem persists. What is meant is that: that in a
given time the application loses the connection to the
Oracle bank.
I must use the back-stable version 6.6.4. Until
the problem is resolved.
A doubt!
What was different for Oracle implemented in version
7.0.0-dev? Version 6.6.4-stable, it works perfectly
in my application!

Greetings,
It has now been over a week and there have been no replies to the above posts.
Is anybody going to reply to this Oracle connection question?
I now use ZeosLib with Delphi 2007 and Oracle. I really like the speed of ZeosLib. Like the person above, I am planning on moving to Delphi 2009 and connect to Oracle with ZeosLib.
Thank you for all your hard work,
Keith

Keith,
Are you experiencing the same problem with an easy test case? Because in Edson's case I had to debug some complex client-server program over the internet (Belgium-Brasil). Impossible (on top of that there was a language problem as I don't understand portugese).
So is there anybody having the same issues with Oracle in the 7.0-dev version? I must have a simple test case however. I have no Oracle server available, so we'll have to work together over a VNC-like connection. (Or somebody should provide an oracle server over the internet so I can work locally)

ZeosLib 7.0 with Oracle
Greetings Mark,
Let me begin by saying how much I respect your Delphi knowledge. I have been happily using ZeosLib for quite some time. Please know that many, many people appreciate your hard work.
I am now considering moving from Delphi 2007 to Delphi 2009. So ... I am now doing my research to make sure all of the components which I use will be available to me.
A couple of weeks ago, I was researching ZeosLib, when I came across your announcement of 2008.9.13. I was very exited to learn of the unicode support in ZeosLib 7.x. However, in the list of supported databases, Oracle was conspicious by its absence.
I was shocked to see that Oracle was not on your list of databases to be supported with ZeosLib 7.0. Then, a few days ago, I noticed that someone was having am issue connecting to Oracle with ZeosLib 7.0. This could be because Oracle is actually being supported or Oracle is not being supported and the fellow that wrote the post was not aware of this decision.
So... I decided to post a reply to that fellow, in my attempt to find out whether Oracle is or is not going to be supported. Now that you have replied, I am very excited to learn that ZeosLib 7.0 will actually support Oracle.
Sorry I took up your time to learn this, but I couldn't find a way to email ZeosLib directly.
Now I can go forward with my decision to purchase Delphi 2009, because there will be Oracle support with ZeosLib 7.0. I understand its going to take awhile to arrive, but that's ok.
By the way, I also use ZeosLib with FireBird and I love it!
Please keep up the good work.
Thanks again,
Keith
