This isn't the only relevant article. Actually, the general idea about this on planetmysql is that Monty is exaggerating.
This would be the same kind of post as if you went writing an article about the bugs that still exist in zeoslib 6.6-stable. (Yes , they do exist )
Loads of people are already using mysql 5.1 as their production server without problems.
I think it were better if you move this thread to the Mysql forum and remove it's Announcement status.
