Hi,

actually for some mistake I made in getting the source, I used not the last source code. After correcting this, ADO works in my environment.
Furthermore I noticed, that connections with ADO work with TZConnection Object, but not when I use TZConnectionGroup. In this case I get a connection error from the Microsoft ODBC Driver Manager telling me "Data Source not found. No default driver supplied". Obviously ADO is not used by TZConnectiongroup at all, even if this protocol is selected.
Maybe this is a bug?

Hi !
I'm updated Lazarus and ZeosDBO rev.: 3520, from svn and can't compile it with FPC 2.7.1 svn i386, the error is :
Compiling package ZCore 7.2: Exit code 256, Errors 1
Fatal: I/O Error: File not open

while with FPC 2.6.5 svn is OK !
Lazarus 1.3 svn, XUbuntu 14.04 LTS i386.

i think there went something wrong with the DisplayWidth alignment.

Please check the TZDataSet-Option [doNotAlignDisplayWidth]. I think your IDE cut's the string before Zeos can get the Value. Wondering why 2. approach works. What's your default CodePage and OS?
