how to check firebird server service is running/ still running ? or how to close database connection automatically when firebird server is down ?

Have to pass. Reconnecting isn't supported yet.

I plan this feature on 7.3.
But you can Ping the Server by using TZConnection.DbcConnection.PingServer = Integer.
