Updates are continuously being released in the 8.0-patches branch on GitHub and I'm sure you can find the same on SVN somehow (they are tags there I believe - I never used SVN and therefore have no knowledge whatsoever).
As 8.0 was released not that long ago I'd say there's plenty of time until the next version number change (major or minor) is going to happen.
