table update event

how to my application (delphi) get to know when table on server is changed?

now i check every minute for table change time (SHOW TABLE STATUS )
but its no good! (not quick updates on server)

Is there any event handler on zeos lib like
OnTableChanged

pleace help!

If you mean with the MySQL server, then the answer is simple: It can't. MySQL has no mechanism for data refreshing by the push method.

Additional edit: I heard Firebird has such mechanism.

I realy use mysqld and its too bad news!
rewriting some thousand strings for firebird not good idea.
