UTF8

Olá pessoal, Instalei a versão 8.4 do Postgres no WinVista
e estou com o seguite problema:
Quando crio uma base de dados ele cria como padrão UTF8 e n me deixa usar o Latin1, tenho uma palicação em Delphi ocorre q quando tento salvar carecteres acentuados da o famoso erro de seguência
de bytes inválida etc. se eu insiro dados via pgadmin como acendo a aplicação tbem n consegue mostrar corretamente, alguem tem alguma luz para resolver esse problema, tem alguma configuraçao no zeos para resolver esse problema?

Qual versão do Zeos que você usa?

Where does this version come from?

Currently there are no plans at all to port 6.6 to UTF8/D2009/D2010. Did you try the testing branch or trunk snapshots already?

I converted the unicode of an official copy (hosted on SourceForge), I used a conversion tool of Lazarus.

Yes, I tryed. But not worked; So I did the conversion of a copy, and is working perfectly.
