Sorry for my ignorance 
but how can I apply or install that patch (provided by cacofony) because I am in the same situation, i am trying to compile the Zeos 7.1.4 for XE7 in XE8 and get the "Ambiguous overloaded call to 'CharInSet' error" in ZSysUtils.pas.
