Seems to be a "new" problem with Lazarus, you are right... somewhere in the convertions the datetime-value is lost but for now it is very difficult to locate the error because watches are not working correctly in debug mode

Hrm :? Unfortunately I do not have Linux on my machine for now but on windows I can compile the current version of the zeosdbo with the installed lazarus-snapshot of today... I think you did not bring your fpc up to date because the db.pp contains these methods that are overridden by TZAbstractRODat...

I know, there was a bug with null-values in MySQL.

Is it only shown as this date or is the field value = 0?

Sorry, the Zeos Controls are not compatible to Zeos DBO 6.x.

Could you please specify the method name and the line where the error occurs?

you are right, this feature is still not implemented for Interbase/Firebird but I am already working on a solution.
There are quite a few issues with that behaviour but I am sure they will be solved quickly.
