You're right mdaems ! I've tried again, and refresh currently refreshes the entire dataset, just like close-open. I remember to have tested sometime ago and it only refreshed the current row.. anyway :) I have tried it too. :D The datas of two separeted record are refreshed in the grid. So what is ...

Refresh or Close/Open

Could somebody tell me what is the difference between Refresh and Close-Open? Actually i would like to know which is better for ZReadOnlyDataset's refreshing.

If it is the same in fact, i remain at normal SQL statements, it think this is a littlebit easier.
But doesn't it produce more SQLs for all kind of sure things and checkings when it generate automaticly?

In which cases doesn't work the automatic generating?

Which is better? Which is faster? Why?

1.
Using the dataset's insert, edit , post and delete procedures
OR
setting directly the SQL property and then call execsql?

2.
Using master-detail arrangement
OR
refresing the dataset in the other table's afterscroll event?

ZReadOnlQuery's refersh vs. Close-Open

I have a ReadOnlyQuery with date fields. Some of the fileds are NULL. When is call Refresh, i get an error message (see below). But when i call Close, and then Open, i don't get the error.
