Everything installed beautifully,
No errors,
All smooth.
Only now I dont see any components listed in the Zeos package.
Very strange.
Have moved the .bpl files to c:\windows and the build folder.
Any ideas?

Regards

Fiddled until I got to the point where the system is looking for a ZPlainInterbaseDriver.dcu (this file did not ship with the current version of Zeos)

I am unable to proceed beyond this point and would appreciate any help I can get.
Warmest Regards

Delphi 2010 (RAD Studio) and Zeos

Dear Friends, I followed the discussion by user "cariad" on Installing on Delphi 2010 and downloaded the Delphi14 goodies he prepared, and while I got much further in the installation than I had in the past, I too am, like so many others on the forums, stumped at the point of compiling Zdb...

Hi Hernan,

Tried it in the past and while it seems a likely candidate, the setup and general steep learning curve to get productive seems intimidating.

How can I detect a MySQL server that is unresponsive

Dear Friends, I need to know when the server is unresponsive, or currently executing a LONG query, before I attempt to post my records. If I could I would write the data locally and attempt to post to the server when the server is free and responsive. The Ping does not help me as the server that is ...

Dear SeaWolf,

I am very keen to use your code, but need help in applying the patch.
If you could be so kind to tell me how exactly one goes about adding this to the Tconnection object.

Regards

Looking for a good BI product to report on MySQL Data.

Dear Friends, I work in Delphi and manage Really LARGE databases in MySQL. We normally write all the slice and dice, OLAP cubes and analytics using Delphi but it seems that there are a host of specialist application frameworks designed to do the heavy lifting and fancy views for the developer. I hav...

Problem changing the delimiter with TZSQLProcessor

Dear Friends, I have a User defined function that runs beautifully if created from mySQL command prompt. It changes the delimiter to | first and when complete changes it back to the semi-colon. When I load the script into the TZSQLProcessor I get a sql error. If some kind could guide me on how to is...

Sit back and let MySQL handle the locks and you will be amazed.
Let the technology do the heavy lifting for you.

I think what you need here is the "show databases" command.
Try it.

You are welcome

Dear Friend, As far as I know you have encountered the real reason behind Windows + MySQl + Delphi being the winning combination. You don't need to worry about record locking. The underlying layers will do the heavy lifting for you. Issue the TzTable.refresh or TzQuery.refresh to update your screen ...
